Recipient Criteria

At Mobile Meals, our aim is to provide nourishing meals and support to individuals who meet our eligibility criteria, and we are committed to making fair and thoughtful decisions regarding meal provision.

To ensure that our meal services reach those who need them the most, Mobile Meals has established specific eligibility criteria for recipients. These criteria include:

• Homebound or Meal Preparation Challenges: Individuals who are unable to travel to purchase food from a grocery store or restaurant, or are unable to prepare meals for themselves due to physical or other limitations.

• Temporary Hardship: Individuals who are recovering from an injury, illness, or surgery that temporarily hinders their ability to obtain meals.

• Hospice or Related Care: Individuals who are receiving hospice care or other similar forms of specialized care.

• Residing within Delivery Area: Recipients must live within the designated Mobile Meals delivery area to receive our services.

It is important to note that recipients' eligibility is subject to periodic review to ensure they continue to meet the criteria mentioned above. If a recipient no longer satisfies the eligibility requirements, their service may be discontinued.

In cases that fall outside the specified eligibility criteria, the Mobile Meals Board of Directors will assess and determine whether the applicant or recipient should receive meals based on their unique circumstances. If we are unable to deliver to you within our geographic area, or you do not meet our criteria, we will refer you to other groups that can help.

We serve those requesting our service regardless of race, ethnicity or age.
